Agricultural Project Intern

Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are seeking a recent graduate or final-year student with a background in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Production, Horticulture, Soil Science, or a related field to support the development of an agricultural project in Haradh, Saudi Arabia.The ideal candidate should have a strong academic and technical understanding of agriculture in arid and desert environments and be able to apply their knowledge to agricultural planning and project development.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a comprehensive agricultural plan covering the key stages of the project from site assessment and planning through implementation.Assess site conditions, soil, water availability, and relevant environmental factors.Develop appropriate irrigation and cultivation plans.Conduct agricultural research and evaluate technical options relevant to the project.Monitor project progress and agricultural performance and identify potential challenges.Provide technical input and practical recommendations throughout project development.Contribute to the planning and optimization of agricultural activities and project design.Coordinate with relevant technical experts and external consultants when required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or expected graduation in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Production, Horticulture, Soil Science, or a related field.Strong technical and academic knowledge of agriculture, particularly in arid or desert environments.Good understanding of crop selection, soil, irrigation, cultivation methods, and agricultural planning.Ability to translate agricultural knowledge into practical project plans and recommendations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.Previous professional experience is not required.PreferredUniversity projects, research, training, or practical work related to desert agriculture, crop production, irrigation, soil management, or agricultural planning.Familiarity with agricultural challenges in hot and arid environments.Internship DetailsDuration: 3 monthsLocation: Haradh, Saudi ArabiaType: Internship
