experimental designs, budgets, timelines, and project plansLead field trials, greenhouse experiments, laboratory studies, crop evaluations, and agricultural demonstrationsResearch crop varieties, production systems, irrigation practices, soil management, fertilizers, pest management, and agricultural technologiesDevelop strategies to improve crop yield, quality, resilience, and resource efficiencyEvaluate drought-, heat-, salinity-, and pest-tolerant crop varieties suitable for arid environmentsLead research into water-efficient and climate-smart agricultural practicesOversee soil, water, plant, and environmental sampling and analysisManage agricultural data collection, statistical analysis, interpretation, and reportingEvaluate technologies such as precision agriculture, smart irrigation, controlled-environment agriculture, hydroponics, vertical farming, sensors, drones, and agricultural AIManage researchers, agronomists, technicians, field teams, consultants, and external research partnersCollaborate with universities, research institutions, government authorities, farmers, agribusinesses, technology companies, and international organizationsDevelop research partnerships, grants, joint studies, and knowledge-exchange programsTranslate scientific findings into practical recommendations, farming guidelines, and commercial opportunitiesPrepare technical continuous improvement✅ What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, Horticulture, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field5–10+ years of experience in agricultural research, agronomy, crop science, horticulture, or a related disciplineProven experience managing agricultural research projects and multidisciplinary teamsStrong knowledge of crop production, field experimentation, soil management, irrigation, and plant healthExperience designing and managing agricultural field trials and controlled experimentsStrong understanding of agricultural data analysis and scientific research methodologiesExperience managing research budgets, facilities, laboratories, field sites, and external partnersStrong project-management, analytical, leadership, and communication skillsAbility to translate scientific research into practical agricultural solutionsStrong understanding of the UAE agricultural environment and arid-climate farming challenges is highly desirable🌟 Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or PhD in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, Horticulture, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience publishing peer-reviewed agricultural research or managing research grantsStrong knowledge of precision agriculture, controlled-environment agriculture, hydroponics, vertical farming, smart irrigation, or agricultural biotechnologyExperience with agricultural data-analysis tools, GIS, remote sensing, sensors, or farm-management platformsKnowledge of soil salinity, water scarcity, desert agriculture, heat stress, drought tolerance, and climate-smart farmingExperience working with UAE government agricultural authorities, universities, research centers, food-security programs, or agricultural organizationsExperience managing research involving date palms, vegetables, cereals, forage crops, horticulture, protected agriculture, or other crops relevant to the UAEKnowledge of sustainable agriculture, regenerative agriculture, integrated pest management, and resource-efficient farmingExperience developing
