Location: Saudi OR KuwaitIndustry: Agritech / Hydroponics / Vertical Farming / Greenhouse AgricultureRole OverviewWe are looking for a Junior Agronomist / CEA Specialist with hands-on experience in hydroponics, vertical farming, greenhouse operations and crop management.The candidate will support day-to-day farm operations, crop monitoring, plant health management and cultivation trials while working closely with the senior technical and farm operations team.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day operations of hydroponic, vertical farming and greenhouse facilities.Monitor crop growth, plant health and overall crop performance.Assist in managing temperature, humidity, irrigation, fertigation and nutrient levels.Monitor and maintain appropriate growing conditions for different crops.Identify early signs of pest, disease, nutrient deficiency and plant stress.Support implementation of pest and disease management practices.Maintain crop production records and collect farm data.Assist with crop trials, experiments and new cultivation techniques.Support yield improvement and reduction of crop losses.Assist in developing and following farm SOPs and cultivation protocols.Coordinate with farm workers and technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.Support harvesting, crop scheduling and post-harvest activities.Conduct basic soil, water and nutrient analysis where required.Prepare regular reports on crop health, production and farm performance.Ensure compliance with farm safety, hygiene and quality procedures.Required SkillsHydroponic FarmingVertical FarmingGreenhouse FarmingControlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)Crop Monitoring & ManagementPlant PhysiologyPlant Nutrition & FertigationPest & Disease ManagementIrrigation ManagementCrop Trials & ExperimentationFarm Data Collection & ReportingBasic Soil & Water AnalysisFarm OperationsCandidate Profile3–8 years of relevant experience in Agritech, Hydroponics, Vertical Farming, Greenhouse Farming, Horticulture or Plant Science.Practical/hands-on experience in crop cultivation and farm operations.Good understanding of plant growth, nutrition and crop health.Exposure to controlled-environment farming will be preferred.Experience with leafy greens, vine crops, herbs, fodder or similar crops is desirable.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working in a farm/greenhouse/controlled-environment setup.Ability to work with farm technicians and operational teams.EducationB.Sc. / M.Sc. in Botany, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Science or related discipline.Ideal CandidateA hands-on Agronomist / Plant Scientist / CEA professional who has 3–8 years of practical experience in crop cultivation and is looking to build a career in hydroponics, vertical farming and technology-enabled agriculture.This is deliberately positioned one-to-two levels below the profile you shared: the reference profile has extensive experience in hydroponics, vertical farming, greenhouse management and crop physiology, whereas this JD focuses on execution, monitoring, experimentation and supporting farm operations rather than strategic ownership.
