Job Purpose InformationMain Role:Provide technical support to solve the technical issues encountered during maintenance, overhaul & repair (MRO) activities of assigned engine lines.Develop new MRO capabilities in cooperation with production operations and relevant functional organizations.Ability to perform depot-level training on disassembly & assembly and inspection activities for technicians.Develop engine part and component repair according to MEPC capability.Responsibilities:Create and update the job routers, detailed work instructions and bill of material based on military TOs or commercial shop manuals for all MRO shop floor activities.Develop new processes, specify tools, consumables, test equipment and assist in the training for the MRO of new engine linesSupport concession activities for OEM and perform engineering review of rejected nonconforming materialsWorks closely with the relevant employees to eliminate root causes to problems in the MRO development and production processes and liaise with the OEM where appropriate.Review warranty claims and issue investigation reports on the root cause and corrective actions of assigned engine lines.Participate in the continuous improvement program (CIP) for improvement in quality, turnaround time and cost of MRO processesCarries out unscheduled tasks and other duties assignedRequirementsQualifications:Required:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalentExperience:Required:Minimum 10 years of experience as depot level MRO engineer in the aircraft engines industries. (AGT1500) Engine MRO engineering experience is preferredOptional:Minimum 10 years of experience as manufacturing engineer in the aircraft engines, gas turbine and/or turbomachinery industries.Knowledge, skills & abilities:Proficient in Interpretation of Engineering Drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Standard (ASME Y14.5)A detailed knowledge and practical experience of the engineering and manufacturing processes planning.A strong product and MRO process technical background gained from the aircraft engine MRO or manufacturing environment.Experience with CAD programs a plus.Must have analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills and be able to perform multi-tasking.Project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlinesPossess a positive can do attitude, self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.Interpersonal, presentation and communication skillsThe ability to work well under pressure and take on new challenges
