AI Agent Development Internship (Remote)

At Patriot Industrial Partners, you will build AI agents that run real business processes. You will develop systems that support business development operations and automate the marketing and back-office workflows behind a fast-growing industrial advisory firm. You will work directly with leadership, senior industry advisors, and analysts to identify high-value use cases and turn them into working tools the team uses every day. Job Overview:We are looking for a technically strong and commercially curious AI Agent Development Intern to design, build, test, and maintain agentic systems that support business development operations.The intern will work directly with the Patriot team to understand real-world business problems, translate them into product requirements, experiment with AI technologies, and develop solutions that improve decision-making, research, productivity, and client delivery.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Applied AI and Agent Engineering, Business Development, Data and Business Strategy.What You Will Be Doing (AI Agent Development):·        Translate business problems, team’s inputs and user needs into clear product requirements, workflows, and solution concepts.·        Develop rapid prototypes and proof-of-concept AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), APIs, automation platforms, and other AI technologies.·        Work with internal users and advisors to test prototypes, gather feedback, identify gaps, and improve product functionality.·        Define product success criteria and evaluate AI solutions for accuracy, reliability, usability, response quality, and business value.·        Research emerging AI technologies, platforms, models, and applications relevant to Aerospace, Defense, Energy, Automotive and Shipbuilding industrial markets.·        Assist in converting successful internal prototypes into repeatable products or client-facing solutions.What Your Background Should Look Like:·        Student pursuing Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field·        Hands-on experience building with LLMs beyond casual use: agents, tool use and function calling, retrieval, or workflow automation·        Working knowledge of Python, REST APIs, JSON, and structured web data collection·        Direct experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or a comparable agentic coding environment ·        Comfort with CRM and prospecting tools such as Zoho Bigin, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales or other platforms·        Interest in federal procurement, or aerospace, defense and automotive markets is a plus·        Strong analytical judgment, specifically the ability to tell a real opportunity from a plausible looking one·        Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and take initiative in an ambiguous environment·        Good written and verbal communication skills.About Patriot Industrial Partners Patriot Industrial Partners is a Veteran owned advisory group that supports the Aerospace, Defense, Automotive and Industrial Manufacturing sectors.
