Our product is evolving from a reporting tool into a fully integrated clinical assistant.As a Data & AI Specialist, you make sure Medendo has the best performing (healthcare) AI system on the market. You combine sharp evaluation, hands-on building, and solid data engineering, all within the strict governance our medical context demands.Evals & Benchmarks: You make sure we know how well our AI performs, so we can make informed decisions about how to improve.Build the AI: Based on the evals, you implement improvements or build new features from scratch.Data Engineering: You make sure we have a high-quality data pipeline containing usage insights, both AI and non-AI related.MDR Engineering: You support clinical studies and enable our road towards MDR (Class IIa) certification.Operational Efficiency: You make sure internal repetitive tasks are handled by agents, and difficult tasks are supported by Skills, while following strict governance rules as per Medendo's management system.The Tech StackOur tech stack is optimized for AI support, fast-paced development cycles and high community adoption:Google Cloud Platform and its services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, Cloud SQL, BigQuery and more.LLMs: Claude, Gemini, GPT.AI Engineering: Evals & Benchmarks, Structured Outputs, Function Calling, MCP servers, Agent Loops, Skills, Agentic AI.Data: BigQuery, Dataform, medallion-style pipelines (bronze → silver → gold).Backend: FastAPI, Python.DevOps and infra: GitHub, ArgoCD, Sentry, Jira.Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who cares as much about measurable AI quality as they do about clean, reliable engineering.AI Engineering depth: Hands-on experience building with modern LLMs. You are fluent in terms such as evals, MCP, agents, AI hallucinations, tokens, context windows, prompt engineering and inference.Strong data foundation: Solid Python and SQL skills, and experience building and maintaining production data pipelines (BigQuery/Dataform or similar a plus).Evaluation mindset: You instinctively reach for measurement first. You design benchmarks and evals before claiming an improvement is real.Governance awareness: Comfortable working within a regulated environment.
