JOB TITLEAI Art Research Assistant — Generative AI & Digital CreativityABOUT THE JOBDe Art is an independent, internet-based visual arts media platform dedicated to exploring art, artists, and the evolving relationship between culture and technology.We are looking for a curious and research-oriented AI Art Research Assistant to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming visual arts and creative practices.The role focuses on researching generative AI tools, emerging creative technologies, AI-assisted artistic workflows, and the work of artists experimenting with these technologies. The successful candidate will help De Art develop informed, accessible, and engaging content about the intersection of artificial intelligence and visual culture.RESPONSIBILITIES- Research emerging AI technologies and their applications in visual arts and digital creativity.- Explore generative image models and creative AI platforms, including their capabilities and limitations.- Identify artists, studios, and creative projects using AI in innovative ways.- Test selected AI image-generation and creative tools for research and editorial purposes.- Compare different AI tools, models, and workflows from an artistic and practical perspective.- Research developments in text-to-image, image-to-image, AI-assisted editing, and multimodal creative systems.- Prepare research summaries, tool reviews, and editorial proposals for digital publication.- Investigate topics such as authorship, originality, copyright, bias, and ethical questions in AI-generated art.- Monitor new developments in AI creativity and identify relevant stories and research opportunities.- Collaborate with the editorial team to translate technical developments into accessible art-related content.QUALIFICATIONS- A strong interest in visual arts, artificial intelligence, and emerging creative technologies.- Familiarity with generative AI tools and image-generation platforms.- Good research, analytical, and information-verification skills.- Ability to evaluate creative tools from both artistic and technological perspectives.- Clear English writing and communication skills.- Curiosity about digital art, computational creativity, and new artistic practices.- Basic knowledge of digital imaging and visual content workflows is an advantage.- Familiarity with AI models, prompt design, or creative coding is a plus.- Ability to work independently, explore unfamiliar technologies, and meet agreed deadlines.WHAT WE OFFER- An opportunity to contribute to an independent digital visual arts media platform.- Practical experience researching AI and emerging creative technologies.- The opportunity to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, art, and digital culture.- Collaboration with an editorial team interested in new forms of artistic expression.- An opportunity to develop expertise in one of the fastest-evolving areas of contemporary visual culture.HOW TO APPLYPlease email the following materials to farhang@parsikia.ir:- A CV of no more than two pages.- A cover letter of no more than one page explaining your interest in AI and visual arts.- Links to three relevant projects, research samples, or examples of AI-assisted creative work, where available.- Contact details for two professional references, including their names, roles, and contact information.Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and may be asked to complete a short, role-specific practical assignment.De Art welcomes applications from qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds who are passionate about visual arts, artificial intelligence, and the future of digital creativity.
