SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly analytical AI Crime Data Analyst with strong expertise in artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, crime data analysis, and data-driven decision support.The successful candidate will support strategic and operational decision-making by analyzing complex crime, intelligence, and public safety data to identify patterns, emerging threats, trends, risks, and relationships. The role will contribute to the development and application of AI-enabled analytical solutions that enhance crime prevention, investigation, resource planning, and operational effectiveness.This position requires a professional who combines strong technical and analytical capabilities with an understanding of crime analysis, intelligence processes, data governance, and the responsible use of AI within a highly regulated government and law-enforcement environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze large and complex crime, intelligence, incident, and operational datasets to identify trends, patterns, hotspots, emerging threats, and relationships.Design and develop AI, machine learning, and advanced analytical models to support crime prevention, investigation, intelligence analysis, and operational decision-making.Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to identify potential crime risks, emerging patterns, and areas requiring operational attention.Apply statistical analysis, anomaly detection, clustering, classification, and pattern-recognition techniques to crime-related datasets.Analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including incident records, intelligence reports, case information, textual data, and other relevant operational sources.Use Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI techniques to extract insights, entities, relationships, themes, and trends from reports and other unstructured information.Develop crime mapping, hotspot analysis, dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools for operational teams and senior leadership.Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable intelligence and recommendations for investigators, operational teams, and non-technical stakeholders.Support the identification of relationships, networks, recurring behaviors, and potential links across cases, incidents, individuals, locations, and events.Collaborate with crime analysts, investigators, intelligence teams, operational departments, IT teams, and senior government stakeholders to define analytical requirements and priorities.Evaluate emerging AI technologies and analytical methodologies that could enhance crime analysis, public safety, and investigative capabilities.Ensure the accuracy, integrity, security, confidentiality, and appropriate use of sensitive crime and intelligence data.Ensure analytical models and AI solutions comply with applicable data privacy, cybersecurity, governance, ethical AI, and government requirements.Monitor and evaluate the performance, accuracy, bias, and effectiveness of AI and analytical models and recommend improvements where required.Prepare analytical reports, executive summaries, dashboards, presentations, and intelligence products to support strategic and operational decision-making.Contribute to the development of analytical methodologies, data standards, and best practices across the organization.Required Qualifications & ExperiencePreferred Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Crime Analysis, Criminal Justice, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, AI, crime analysis, intelligence analysis, or a related field.Proven experience applying advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI to complex operational datasets.Experience in law enforcement, public safety, intelligence, government, security, or other highly regulated environments is highly desirable.Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical and programming tools.Strong experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.Experience with machine learning techniques including classification, clustering, anomaly detection, predictive modeling, and pattern recognition.Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and techniques for analyzing unstructured text and intelligence information.Experience working with large, complex, structured, and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.Knowledge of crime trend analysis, hotspot analysis, geospatial analysis, network analysis, or investigative analytics is highly desirable.Experience with GIS or geospatial analysis tools would be an advantage.Strong understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, confidentiality, and ethical AI principles.Ability to translate complex analytical findings into practical recommendations for operational and executive stakeholders.Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential information in a government or law-enforcement environment.
