We're looking for an AI Developer to help our growing team take intelligent solutions from concept through to production.About the roleJoin our growing AI team within the newly created Dexterous AI unit, taking AI solutions from concept through to production.Work closely with our Head of Product and developers to design, train and deploy models that power real financial tools for growing businesses.Build the APIs and data pipelines that bring those models to life, with quality, security and scale built in from day one.Get dedicated weekly time for research and experimentation, and bring new tools, papers and ideas back to the team.Follow a clear, supported career development plan with a team invested in where you want to go.Core Responsibilities & What You'll BringDesign, develop and deploy AI/ML models end-to-end, ideally within a production environment.Build and maintain scalable APIs and data pipelines, backed by solid backend fundamentals (Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot and PostgreSQL experience highly regarded).Ensure data quality through sourcing, cleaning, validation and testing, including bias and fairness checks.Collaborate closely with product, engineering and stakeholders, documenting your work clearly along the way.Bring genuine curiosity about emerging AI research and tools, plus a relevant qualification (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.Benefits of Working With UsHave the flexibility to work hybridly from our beautiful North Sydney office, 3 days per week and 2 days from homeDedicated weekly innovation time to explore new tools, research and ideas.A genuine, supported career development plan tailored to where you want to go.A values-driven, collaborative culture where your work has real, visible impact for growing businesses.About dexIQ and DexterousdexIQ is transforming how small-to-medium businesses manage their finance operations, building intelligent, end-to-end financial tools powered by modern tech and AI.
