AI Engineer with strong Python development skills wanted by a progressive AI company who are seeing fantastic growth. The company are well-backed with a strong roadmap, and have an incredible product which has already seen superb uptake from some household name companies.We are seeking an AI Engineer with at least 4+ years production python software development experience, to help build AI systems that power complex, real-world operations. This is not a research role: we’re looking for a capable AI software engineer who can design, build and ship scalable Python services that integrate advanced machine learning and LLM into live products used every day.As an AI Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of backend engineering and applied AI. You’ll own systems end-to-end: from model training pipelines through to low-latency inference services, ensuring reliability, performance and clean architecture across the stack.What you’ll be doingDesigning and building robust Python backend services (APIs, async systems, data pipelines)Integrating large language models (Claude, GPT-4 etc) into production applicationsDeveloping and maintaining LLM model training and evaluation workflowsOptimising inference performance and improving latencyImplementing monitoring, logging and resilience best practicesContributing to system architecture and mentoring other engineersRequired experience4+ years building production systems in Python (working on real world applications as a back-end engineer) ...Followed by strong recent experience (2 years+) in AI development, integrating LLMs or advanced ML models into live products - production level hosting is required, not just local deployment. A deep understanding of LLM systems and how they work in real applications is a hard requirement.Understanding of model training workflows and evaluation, and the infrastructure around thatStrong backend/API development experience, ideally with FastAPIComfortable with containerisation / Docker and CI/CD deploymentAbility to write clean, tested, maintainable codeThis is a high-impact opportunity for an AI Engineer who is seeking a role with a well-backed startup at the bleeding edge of AI development. In return for your experience, the company offer a competitive salary between £90,000 and £110,000 per year, healthcare and medical benefits, and an excellent holiday allowance.
