AI Engineer

AI EngineerLocation: Netherlands We are looking for an AI Engineer to join an innovative engineering team building AI-powered applications and intelligent automation solutions. You will be responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining machine learning and Generative AI solutions that solve real business problems.Working closely with software engineers, data engineers and product teams, you will help design scalable AI applications from proof of concept through to production.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and deploy AI and Machine Learning solutions.Build and maintain LLM-powered applications using modern AI frameworks.Develop APIs and backend services for AI applications.Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and AI workflows.Work with structured and unstructured datasets.Collaborate with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to productionise AI models.Monitor, optimise and improve AI model performance.Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and technical documentation.Required Skills3+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning or Python Software Engineering.Strong Python development skills.Experience building AI or Machine Learning applications.Experience with Large Language Models (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic or similar).Experience with LangChain or similar AI orchestration frameworks.Experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask.Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB or FAISS.Experience using Git and modern software development practices.Strong understanding of software engineering principles.Nice to HaveExperience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of MLOps or CI/CD pipelines.Experience with RAG, semantic search and document processing.Experience with embedding models and vector search.Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn.Experience working in Agile environments.
