AI Engineer (Full Stack)AI-Powered E-commerce Ops Platform$180k-$200k Base + Super + ESOPSydney (Hybrid) - 3 days/wk in officeWe are currently working with a venture-backed AI-Native operations platform that’s redefining post-purchase operations for eCommerce brands through AI automation and smarter decision making.The roleYou'll own features end-to-end — frontend, backend, and the AI application layer — across a modern stack:Core: Python, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDBAgentic AI: LangGraph/LangChain, OpenRouter, OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini, an in-house Agent Studio and Agent RuntimeEvent-driven backbone: Temporal, Apache Kafka, Azure Service BusAI-assisted development: Claude Code, Cursor and Codex as part of daily workflowAlongside feature work, you'll partner closely with the team's QA Engineer on test automation (Playwright/Cypress) and help build eval harnesses for LLM-driven agent behaviour — bringing a test-engineering mindset to a codebase you're also writing.You are:A genuine full-stack builder — comfortable across TypeScript and Python, frontend and backendExperience building at the AI/agentic layer, not just using AI toolsSomeone who takes real ownership and drives features from spec to production without hand-holdingCurious about agentic AI and keen to build in it, not just around itEnergised by a fast, ambiguous, early-stage environment where the playbook is still being writtenExperience within eCommerce will be very highly valued.What's on offer:Real scope and ownership on a small, senior team, in front of real brandsSalary + ESOP — equity that means something at this stageHybrid: 3 days in a Surry Hills office, 2 days from homeA fast delivery rhythm with short feedback loops, not heavyweight processIf the above peaks your interest, reach out to paul@talentforge.com.au
