AI Engineer London Hybrid - 2 days pw onsite£100,000 - £125,000 + benefitsWe are partnering with a global leading financial services company in their search for an AI Engineer to design, build and deploy production-ready Generative AI solutions.This is a hands-on role focused on turning AI concepts into scalable business solutions, working with Python, GCP, Vertex AI, OpenAI and Anthropic Claude.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and deploy GenAI applications including RAG, chatbots, copilots and document intelligence.Develop LLM workflows and integrations using OpenAI and/or Claude APIs.Build solutions on GCP, including Vertex AI, BigQuery and Cloud Run.Work with structured/unstructured data, embeddings, vector databases and semantic search.Implement CI/CD, monitoring, testing and production controls.Ensure solutions meet Responsible AI, GDPR, security and regulatory requirements.Work with Technology, Data Risk and Compliance teams to deliver practical AI solutions.What you will bringProven experience delivering AI/GenAI solutions into production.Strong Python development experience (production‑grade code).Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ideally Vertex AI.Hands‑on experience with ChatGPT / OpenAI APIs and/or Anthropic Claude.Experience integrating AI services via APIs and building backend services.Familiarity with modern software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD).Generative AI & LLMsPractical experience with prompt engineering, system prompts and evaluation techniques.Experience implementing RAG architectures, vector databases, and semantic search.Experience working with structured and unstructured dataFinancial services experience (highly desirable) or experience working in a regulated environment.
