AI Engineering Team Lead & Architect

We have IT experts working in areas as diverse as IT Consulting, Nearshore, Turnkey Projects, Blockchain, and Machine Learning.What you will be doingDesign and deploy autonomous AI systems and workflows for financial features, document processing, and automated testing;Build enterprise LLM applications, implementing robust RAG pipelines, context handling, and tool integrations;Develop secure, high-performance backend services and APIs (Python, TypeScript, or Go) to support core product platforms;Architect and maintain AI infrastructure on AWS, optimizing for low latency, cost efficiency, and strict data security;Implement evaluation and monitoring frameworks to track model reliability, establish guardrails, and mitigate hallucinations;Lead and mentor a cross-functional squad across Backend, Web, and Mobile through architectural guidance and code reviews;Ensure regulatory compliance and data governance across all data pipelines and financial service integrations;Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to turn business objectives into scalable technical deliverables.What you will need to succeed5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership capacity (such as Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Solutions Architect);Strong programming background in server-side technologies (Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or Java), with a focus on mission-critical, live systems;Demonstrated track record of delivering AI/ML solutions in production, including practical exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, RAG architectures, NLP, or predictive analytics;Solid foundation in AWS cloud architecture, microservices, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, queuing systems, and serverless compute);Proven ability to lead, mentor, and guide engineering teams, fostering code quality, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence;Hands-on familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and standard engineering collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence);Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills, with the ability to articulate architectural decisions to diverse teams;Full professional proficiency in English.What the company will offer youA company with an open mindset, where each team member contributes to organizational growth – all ideas are welcome, as is independent thinking;Opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment;Career progression and continuous learning opportunities;Flexible working hours and hybrid work model;Participation in innovative projects.Next StepsIf you are interested in this opportunity, we would appreciate it if you could share your updated CV with us - bernardo.miranda@virth.io.
