AI Lead

Our client, a leading HR Tech company in Vietnam, is looking for an experienced AI Lead to join their team and lead the development of AI products and solutions that address real-world business challenges.Team StructureThe AI team currently consists of 3 AI Engineers, with an additional Labeling team supporting AI-related operations.The AI Lead will be responsible for providing technical direction, allocating tasks, developing team capabilities, and driving AI initiatives across the organization.Key Responsibilities1. AI Product Strategy & DevelopmentCollaborate closely with the Product team to define the vision, roadmap, and implementation plans for AI products addressing real-world business challenges.Optimize and continuously improve existing AI products and solutions, including:CV Parsing and CV/JD completeness assessment.CV–JD Matching and candidate-job fit evaluation.Job Recommendation systems.Monitoring, moderation, and anomaly detection in operational processes.Candidate classification based on profiles, behaviors, and other relevant attributes.Research and develop new AI models and applications, including Automation Workflows and AI Agents, to solve practical problems for three key user groups:Internal TopCV teams.Job seekers / Candidates.Employers / Recruiters.Work closely with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to bring AI solutions from research and experimentation into production.2. AI Governance & ComplianceStay up to date with regulations, legal requirements, and industry developments related to Artificial Intelligence.Collaborate with relevant teams to define strategies, plans, and initiatives to ensure AI products and operations comply with applicable regulations.Contribute to establishing appropriate AI governance processes and practices across the organization.3. AI Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, evaluate, and develop the capabilities of the AI team, including AI Engineers and the Labeling team.Provide technical direction, assign and prioritize AI problems, and ensure effective execution across projects.Build the team’s technical capabilities and establish processes, methodologies, and best practices to improve productivity and quality.Monitor project progress and ensure AI initiatives are delivered effectively and in alignment with business priorities.4. LLM EngineeringLead the implementation of self-hosted Large Language Models (LLMs) using the Company’s existing infrastructure.Research and implement LLM fine-tuning approaches to optimize models for specific business use cases.Evaluate and experiment with emerging LLM technologies, AI Agents, and related approaches to identify opportunities for practical application.5. AI Research & System DevelopmentResearch, evaluate, and experiment with AI technologies to address the Company’s core business challenges.Review and consolidate relevant AI research, technologies, and industry developments.Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable AI systems and modules.Propose suitable architectures and technical approaches for AI system deployment.Collaborate with Product teams, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and other technical stakeholders to ensure effective integration of AI solutions into products and operational processes.6. Other ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.RequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.Experience5+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.Strong hands-on experience in AI/ML development and production deployment.Experience designing, developing, and deploying large-scale AI systems.Strong experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Big Data.Hands-on experience integrating and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs).Experience with LLM self-hosting and model optimization is highly preferred.Previous experience leading or managing an AI/ML team is strongly preferred.Experience developing AI products that solve real-world business problems is a strong advantage.Technical ExpertiseStrong foundation in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Natural Language Processing.Solid knowledge of Data Science and Big Data processing.Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.In-depth knowledge of frameworks and technologies such as PyTorch, Hugging Face, and FastAPI.Understanding of LLM architecture, fine-tuning, deployment, and AI Agent/Automation approaches.Good software engineering and system design practices.Leadership & Professional SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify business problems and select appropriate AI solutions.Strong leadership, team management, mentoring, and communication skills.Ability to define technical direction, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources effectively.Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.Proactive, responsible, accountable, and results-oriented working style.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: 100M and Open to negotiation depending on experience and capabilities.Guaranteed 13th-month salary.Additional 1-month performance bonus upon achievement of assigned targets.Opportunity to directly contribute to and shape a fast-growing HRM SaaS product with meaningful real-world impact.Opportunity to work on practical AI applications including LLM, AI Agent, Automation Workflow, Recommendation Systems, NLP, and AI Governance.Collaborative, innovative, and technology-driven working environment.Flexible working arrangements.Full salary during the probationary period.Recruitment ProcessInterview: 1 round only, with the Hiring Manager / relevant stakeholders.
