HCM collaborates closely with stakeholders to align its courses with current and emerging workforce requirements, creating a supportive environment for teaching professionals and students alike.Role Description The AI Lecturer will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and related fields in a full-time, on-site capacity based in Kathmandu. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lectures, tutorials, and assessment materials; teaching classes and guiding students through hands-on projects; and maintaining up-to-date course content aligned with current AI trends and industry practices. The role involves supervising student research and capstone projects, providing academic advising and mentoring, and contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement of AI and technology programs. The AI Lecturer will also engage in scholarly activities, participate in departmental meetings and committees, and collaborate with colleagues to support the college’s academic standards and institutional goals.QualificationsStrong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and related computational disciplines.Proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools (e.g., Python, R, AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch).Experience in curriculum design, instructional planning, and development of learning materials for higher education.Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and assess students using clear, inclusive, and engaging instructional methods.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in accessible ways.Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a closely related field; PhD preferred.Evidence of research, publications, or industry experience in AI or related technological domains is an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse colleagues and students, and to contribute to academic committees and initiatives.Strong organizational skills, including time management, course administration, and record-keeping for academic activities.Commitment to ethical AI practices, continuous professional development, and alignment with HCM’s educational values.
