BharatTech is building a growing ecosystem of contributors, students, researchers, and industry collaborators to create accessible, scalable, and trustworthy intelligence systems.Role Description The AI/ML Intern will support the design, development, and evaluation of machine learning and generative intelligence models, with a focus on real-world applications aligned with BharatTech’s vision. Day-to-day tasks may include data collection and preprocessing, implementing and testing algorithms, conducting experiments, documenting findings, and preparing technical reports or presentations. The intern will collaborate with engineers and researchers on prototype development, performance optimization, and integration of models into experimental systems and tools. This is an internship role and is fully remote, requiring independent work, regular communication, and participation in virtual meetings and reviews.Qualifications Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics (e.g., linear algebra, calculus, probability, statistical modeling) suitable for AI/ML research and development.Programming skills in languages commonly used for AI/ML such as Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas), and familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.Knowledge of core machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and basic deep learning architectures.Ability to work with datasets, including data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.Interest in emerging areas such as Generative AI/Generative Intelligence, AI security, and trustworthy AI systems.Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to learn new concepts and tools quickly.Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation, collaboration, and presenting findings.Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate across distributed teams.Prior project or internship experience in AI/ML, open-source contributions, or relevant research work is a plus.
