AI/ML Operations Engineer

We, in turn, work hard to bring out the best in them as we strive to help them find their spark and become the best version of themselves that they can be.We are on the lookout for a highly talented and self-motivated AI/ML Operations Engineer to join us on our journey in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.ROLE PURPOSE: The AI/ML Operations Engineer is a role within the Centre of Excellence for Emerging Technologies, responsible for operationalizing, deploying, and supporting the bank’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions across enterprise platforms. Reporting to the Manager for Platform & Tools, this role is focused on the hands-on engineering, automation, monitoring, and support of AI/ML workloads – ensuring models and use cases run reliably, securely, and at scale in production. This role is focused on the day-to-day operations and engineering of AI/ML platforms and pipelines, with accountability for the stability, performance, and security of the AI workloads that support the bank’s high-priority AI initiatives. The following points highlight the primary responsibilities and contributions to this role: • Deploy, configure, and operate AI/ML solutions on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and the bank’s approved AI platforms. • Build and maintain MLOps deployment and monitoring pipelines to run AI/ML models reliably in production. • Operate and administer the Citadel platform and other AI/ML tooling used across the bank, ensuring availability and correct configuration. • Develop automation scripts, utilities, and integrations in Python to streamline model deployment, data preparation, and operational tasks. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML workloads using DevOps toolchains. • Monitor AI/ML workloads for performance, model drift, reliability, and cost, and proactively resolve incidents. • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to track platform usage, model performance, and operational KPIs. • Support the onboarding and productionization of AI use cases, working with data scientists and business teams. • Implement and enforce security, access management, and governance controls across AI/ML environments. • Manage containerized and cloud-native deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for AI/ML services on Azure. • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for AI/ML platforms and pipelines. • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to manage upgrades, enhancements, patches, and production support. • Review and validate vendor-delivered code, configuration files, and pipelines, evaluating them against quality, security, and production-readiness standards before go-live. • Ensure AI/ML platforms adhere to internal IT governance frameworks and external regulatory requirements (e.g., UAE Central Bank). • Maintain access control, platform usage governance, and operational oversight aligned with the bank’s risk and security frameworks. • Support risk assessments, internal audits, and platform-level controls for responsible AI adoption.Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry for building, deploying, and operating AI/ML solutions.• Strong programming skills in Python for automation, data processing, and ML pipeline development.• Experience operating the Citadel platform and the AI technologies and tooling used at Customer.• Proficiency in Power BI for building dashboards, reports, and operational visualizations.• Working knowledge of MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud native services on Azure.• Solid understanding of the AI/ML model lifecycle, monitoring, model governance, platform security, access management, and regulatory alignment.• Experience working in regulated environments, ideally within banking or financial services.Previous experience:3+ years of experience in AI/ML operations, MLOps, DevOps, or platform engineering roles, with hands-on expertise in deploying and operating AI/ML solutions in production.Practical experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, Python, and Power BI is essential, along with familiarity with the AI platforms and tooling used at Customer, including Citadel.Banking or financial services experience preferred, with exposure to regulatory environments such as UAE Central Bank.Demonstrated ability to automate, monitor, and support AI/ML workloads, and to collaborate effectively with data scientists, engineers, and business teams.
