AI Researcher (Statistical Modelling)

AI Researcher – Statistical & Predictive ModellingOverviewWe are looking for an AI Researcher to join our R&D team, focusing on statistical modelling, predictive analytics, machine learning, and applied AI development. The role involves developing rigorous analytical models and exploring LLM-powered AI agents to solve real-world research problems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and evaluate predictive models, including regression, classification, time-series forecasting, and mathematical models.Conduct statistical analysis and experimentation, including EDA, hypothesis testing, power analysis, significance testing, and model validation. Perform data wrangling, feature engineering, outlier detection, and analysis of structured datasets.Research and develop LLM-powered AI agents capable of reasoning, querying data, and invoking predictive models or analytical tools. Build reproducible Python-based ML pipelines and evaluate model performance and limitations.Communicate research findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.RequirementsMaster's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline preferredStrong hands-on experience in predictive modelling: regression, classification and/or time-series forecasting.Strong foundation in statistical modelling and experimental analysis.Proficient in Python, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn and SciPy, with good data manipulation and feature-engineering skills. Good understanding of supervised, unsupervised and generative machine-learning models.Exposure to LLMs, AI agents, Generative AI or agentic frameworks is advantageous.Strong research methodology, analytical thinking, model evaluation and experimentation skills.
