The team works closely with modern e-commerce organizations that need technical solutions to stay competitive in AI-first customer journeys.Role Description The AI Software Engineer - 1 role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining AI-powered software components that improve brand eligibility and representation in AI-driven discovery systems. The engineer will develop and optimize models, especially in areas such as pattern recognition, neural networks, and natural language processing, and integrate them into production-grade software. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, scalable code, contributing to system architecture, conducting experiments, evaluating model performance, and collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. The person in this role will also help debug complex issues in AI pipelines, improve system reliability, and contribute to documentation and code reviews.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and production-quality coding practices.Skills in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for building and optimizing machine learning and deep learning models.Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for understanding, extracting, and transforming text data in AI-driven applications.Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI (such as Python) and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and take ownership of end-to-end technical tasks.Experience with deploying models to production, working with APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) is beneficial.Previous exposure to e-commerce, recommender systems, or agentic/AI-native products is a plus.
