My full contact details are available on my LinkedIn profileLondon | Hybrid | Permanent | £90,000-£110,000I'm working with a global organisation investing heavily in its AI capability and looking for an AI Solution Architect to play a key role in shaping what comes next.The role sits at the intersection of AI architecture, hands-on technical delivery and advisory. You'll help define how AI solutions should be designed and built, guide engineers through delivery, and work directly with senior stakeholders on complex business problems.There is also a genuine client-facing element, so this would particularly suit someone who enjoys combining deep technical expertise with consulting, solutioning and pre-sales.The RoleYou'll take ownership of end-to-end architecture across a growing portfolio of AI initiatives, covering both internal transformation and external solutions.You'll be responsible for:Translating business problems into practical AI architectures and technical solutionsOwning solution design from initial requirements through to deliveryArchitecting agentic AI systems using model APIs, orchestration frameworks, RAG and retrieval patternsMaking informed decisions between different models, platforms, low-code solutions and custom developmentDesigning integrations, APIs, data pipelines and the underlying data architecture required by AI applicationsWorking extensively across Microsoft technologies including Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure and Microsoft 365Establishing reusable architectural patterns and engineering standardsConsidering security, governance, performance, resilience, data residency and cost throughout solution designProviding technical direction and mentorship to engineersSupporting client conversations, technical discovery, proposals and pre-sales activityPresenting complex technical concepts credibly to both technical and non-technical stakeholderAbout YouI'm interested in speaking with people from Solution Architecture, AI Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering or technical consulting backgrounds.You'll ideally bring strong experience across several of the following:AI / LLM solution architectureAgentic AI systemsRAG and retrieval architecturesModel APIs and orchestration frameworksMicrosoft Copilot StudioPower Platform / Power Automate / DataverseAzure and Microsoft 365Python and/or TypeScriptAPIs, integrations and data architectureAI governance, security and cost optimisationTechnical consulting, stakeholder management or pre-salesWhy Consider This Role?This an opportunity to join at an unusually interesting point in the organisation's AI journey.Rather than inheriting a mature function and maintaining somebody else's architecture, you'll have significant influence over how the capability develops - including technology choices, engineering standards, delivery approach and future team direction.You'll also get exposure to both internal AI transformation and external advisory work, giving the role considerably more breadth than a standard internal Solution Architect position.If you're currently working across AI architecture, solutions engineering, FDE or technical consulting and want a role where you can genuinely help build the capability rather than simply operate within it, I'd be interested in speaking with you ASAP.Desired Skills and ExperienceAI Solutions Architect | PresalesHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
