While Seidat serves sales teams across industries, this domain is pushing some of our most exciting AI innovation. We're looking for our first dedicated AI Systems Engineer to help build that future. You'll work directly with our Head of Engineering (that's me)—an engineer, product builder, and entrepreneur who still writes code, prototypes new ideas, talks to customers, and believes the best products come from deeply understanding the problems people are trying to solve. Why This Role Is DifferentOver the past year, we've been exploring how agentic AI can transform sales enablement through a series of prototypes and proof-of-concepts. These experiments have helped us validate both the technology and the customer value. Some of the work we've already built includes:A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that exposes Seidat's presentation capabilities as AI-callable toolsAgentic workflows for AI-assisted presentation generationProof-of-concept meeting-to-proposal workflows combining transcription, structured information extraction, and proposal generationAI-powered image editing Voice-to-text transcription pipelinesEarly evaluation frameworks for measuring output quality and reducing hallucinationsThese projects have given us confidence that AI should become a core part of Seidat—not just another feature. Now we're looking for someone to help take these ideas beyond prototypes and build production-grade AI systems that our customers rely on every day.The TeamYou'll work alongside:Head of Engineer – Product strategy, architecture, and hands-on engineeringFull-Stack Engineer – Core platform developmentUI/UX Designer – Product design and user experienceTechnical Customer Success Manager – Works closely with customers and brings real-world problems directly into product developmentYou'll be the first dedicated AI engineer, owning the evolution of our AI platform while collaborating closely with the rest of the team. What You'll BuildYou'll design and ship production-grade AI systems that solve real customer problems.Your work will include:Designing autonomous AI agents for sales workflowsExtending our MCP ecosystem and agent capabilitiesBuilding intelligent retrieval, memory, and reasoning systemsDeveloping our upcoming AI Sales AdvisorBuilding evaluation frameworks and quality measurement pipelinesRapidly prototyping new ideas and validating them with customersHelping shape both product direction and long-term AI architectureOur Technology StackMeteorReactMongoDBRedisDockerAWS/Azure/GCPHow We Build AIWe're opinionated about building AI systems responsibly. Some principles we follow:Ground truth beats fluent fiction. If the required information doesn't exist, we'd rather return "Information Missing" than invent an answer.Deterministic where correctness matters.Business logic belongs in software. AI should reason over trusted data—not replace it.LLM-agnostic by design. We build systems, not model-specific applications. Our architecture is designed so models can evolve, be replaced, or be combined without changing core product logic. We believe long-term value comes from robust workflows, evaluation, and product design—not dependence on any single AI provider.Validate before applying changes.Agents operate through carefully designed capabilities with narrow permissions rather than unrestricted access.Humans remain in control.AI proposes. Users decide.Everything is measurable. We evaluate AI using automated benchmarks, LLM judges, labelled datasets, and production metrics—not intuition. If these principles resonate with you, you'll probably enjoy working here.Who We're Looking ForWe're looking for an exceptional engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems and is excited by how AI is changing the way software is built. You don't need to know every framework or every model. Those will change. What matters is how you think. You'll probably thrive here if you:Care more about solving customer problems than defending a particular technology or architecture.Adapt quickly as new tools, models, and techniques emerge.Take ownership from idea to production, and measure whether your work actually made a difference. Are comfortable working in ambiguity, experimenting, learning, and iterating quickly.Think analytically and make decisions based on evidence rather than intuition.Understand that every technology has strengths and trade-offs. Choosing the right one depends on the problem, the constraints, and the customer. Are pragmatic. Sometimes an LLM is the right answer. Sometimes a simple algorithm is better.Have strong software engineering fundamentals and enjoy building reliable systems.See AI as a force multiplier for engineering—not just a feature to integrate.Enjoy questioning assumptions—including your own. Most importantly, you're curious. The AI landscape changes constantly, and you're excited by that rather than overwhelmed by it.Nice to HaveExperience with any of these is a bonus:AI agents in productionMCP serversLangGraph or similar orchestration frameworksVector databasesSemantic searchKnowledge graphsEvent-driven architecturesCRM or Sales Enablement platformsHospitality technologyMICE industryWhy Join Seidat?Build AI into the core of an established product used by paying customersBecome the technical owner of our AI platformWork directly with a technical founder who still builds products every dayJoin a small, experienced team with minimal bureaucracyShip quickly and see your work create immediate customer impactHelp define how AI transforms enterprise sales softwareIf This Sounds Like You…If you're excited about building intelligent systems that help real sales teams win more business—and you care as much about correctness, quality, and measurable outcomes as you do about innovation—we'd love to hear from you.Send us:Your CV or LinkedIn profileGitHub (if available)Examples of AI or software you've built and shippedA short note answering:Why does this role interest you? What's the hardest technical problem you've solved? How would you measure whether an AI agent is actually good?Interview ProcessWe want our interview process to reflect how we work: collaborative, practical, and respectful of your time.1. Introductory Call (15–20 minutes)An informal conversation to get to know each other, understand your motivations and aspirations, discuss what you're looking for in your next role, and answer any questions you have about Seidat and the opportunity.2. Technical & Product Interview (60 minutes) (preferably in person) A discussion focused on engineering, AI, system design, and how you approach solving real customer problems. We're interested in how you think more than whether you know a particular framework.3. Practical Technical Assignment (2-4 hr) A take-home exercise based on the kind of problems you'll actually work on. We aim to keep it focused and respectful of your time.4. Assignment Review (60 minutes) Walk us through your solution, explain your design decisions and trade-offs, and discuss alternative approaches. We're far more interested in your reasoning than arriving at a single "correct" answer.5. Meet the Team Spend some time with the people you'll be working with. This is as much an opportunity for you to evaluate us as it is for us to get to know you.6. Offer If we're both excited about working together, we'll move quickly with an offer.
