AI Transformation ManagerHybrid, 2 days per week in London office£75k-£95k + Bonus on performanceDataworks is partnering with a major international consumer technology business that is investing heavily in how AI is used across its commercial organisation.They are looking for an AI Transformation Manager to take ownership of the AI agenda across a complex, high-volume business spanning digital products, customer experience, marketing and commercial operations.This is not a pure strategy, governance or project-management role.The focus is on identifying where AI can genuinely improve the business, turning those opportunities into practical use cases, and then helping take them from idea → proof of concept → implementation → adoption.THE ROLEYou’ll sit within a small transformation team with broad exposure across the organisation, working with teams including Product & Technology, Marketing, Commercial, Data, Finance...You’ll become a central point of contact for AI initiatives across the commercial organisation, helping senior stakeholders understand what is possible, where to prioritise investment and how to turn AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes.You'll manage a lean team of hands-on data experts (Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Data Engineer).THE ROLEOwn the AI opportunity pipelineIdentify business problems and processes where AI can drive commercial value, improve efficiency or enhance customer experiences.Work with stakeholders to structure and prioritise opportunities based on impact, feasibility and strategic importance.Take ideas into productionLead AI initiatives from early exploration and proof of concept through to implementation and scaled adoption.You’ll work closely with technical teams rather than simply handing over requirements and moving on.Bridge business and technologyTranslate complex commercial problems into clear technical use cases, while equally being able to explain AI capabilities and limitations to non-technical stakeholders.Drive adoptionA major part of the role is ensuring AI is actually used.You’ll help embed new tools and capabilities into everyday workflows, educate teams and improve how colleagues use AI in their day-to-day roles.Influence senior stakeholdersYou’ll work across a large organisation with multiple teams, priorities and stakeholders, so the ability to create alignment and influence senior decision-makers is important.YOUR PROFILEThe background can vary, but you’ll likely have experience in areas such as:AI transformationApplied AI / GenAITechnology transformationAI product or innovationChange ManagementAutomation / operational transformationYou must have:Strong understanding of modern AI technologies and their practical applicationsExperience identifying and implementing AI use casesExperience working within a complex organisationStrong commercial judgement and ability to prioritise opportunitiesAbility to communicate comfortably with both technical teams and senior business stakeholdersExperience taking initiatives from concept through to implementationStrong stakeholder-management and influencing skillsAn experimental mindset and willingness to test, iterate and learn quicklyYou do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be technically credible enough to work effectively with engineering, product and data teams and understand what is realistically achievable.WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY:-The scale is a major part of the opportunity.-You’ll be working inside a global consumer business with significant technology and data capability, millions of customer interactions and multiple opportunities to apply AI across both internal operations and customer-facing experiences.-Rather than joining a large standalone AI programme, you’ll be part of a small transformation team with the mandate to have an outsized impact.
