Air Conditioning Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Mechanic / HVAC Technician with strong hands-on capability in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, particularly air-cooled chillers and chilled water equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and rectify faults in HVAC and air-conditioning systems independently.Troubleshoot air-cooled chillers, including refrigeration, electrical, control, and mechanical faults.Carry out maintenance and repair of chilled water systems and associated equipment, including:Air-cooled chillersChilled water pumpsAHUs and FCUsPackage unitsSplit and ducted split AC unitsControl valves and actuatorsExpansion tanks and associated chilled water componentsDiagnose refrigeration problems including high/low pressure faults, refrigerant leakage, compressor issues, expansion valve problems, poor cooling and abnormal operating pressures.Diagnose electrical and control faults involving compressors, contactors, relays, overloads, sensors, thermostats, motors and control circuits.Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, evacuation, pressure testing and leak detection.Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC equipment.Check operating parameters such as suction/discharge pressure, temperature, current, voltage and chilled water supply/return temperatures.Identify the root cause of HVAC breakdowns rather than only providing temporary repairs.Attend breakdown calls and restore equipment to normal operation with minimum downtime.Maintain proper service and maintenance records.Candidate RequirementsMinimum 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience.Strong experience with air-cooled chillers and chilled water systems is essential.Must be capable of independently diagnosing and rectifying HVAC faults.Good knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressors, controls, electrical components and chilled water systems.Experience with major HVAC/chiller brands will be an advantage.Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and HVAC schematics is preferred.Previous UAE/GCC experience is preferred.UAE driving licence will be an advantage.ImportantThis position is for an experienced troubleshooting technician, not only a general AC installer.
