Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionAn Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and certifying aircraft and aircraft systems to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and airworthy. The role performs maintenance in accordance with approved procedures, technical standards, and aviation regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and inspections.Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems, components, and equipment.Conduct routine checks, servicing, testing, and maintenance activities.Review aircraft maintenance manuals, technical publications, and work instructions.Identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural issues.Complete maintenance tasks in accordance with approved procedures and standards.Perform functional tests and inspections after maintenance activities.Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records and technical documentation.Ensure aircraft maintenance complies with aviation regulations and approved standards.Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineers, technicians, pilots, and operations staff.Assist with aircraft defect investigations and corrective actions.Monitor aircraft components, parts, tools, and maintenance equipment.Ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability of aircraft parts and materials.Support aircraft inspections, modifications, repairs, and maintenance programs.Report safety concerns, defects, incidents, and technical issues promptly.Maintain high standards of workplace safety and aircraft maintenance practices.Use maintenance-management systems, diagnostic equipment, digital records, and technical software.Support continuous improvement in aircraft reliability, safety, and maintenance efficiency.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Maintenance, Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.Relevant aircraft maintenance experience is preferred.Appropriate aviation maintenance license or certification is required where applicable.Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and aviation safety standards.Familiarity with aircraft maintenance manuals, technical documentation, and regulatory requirements.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work effectively under strict safety and operational requirements.Good communication and teamwork skills.Familiarity with aircraft maintenance software and digital systems is advantageous.Professional, disciplined, reliable, and safety-conscious.Strong commitment to airworthiness, aviation safety, technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and aircraft reliability.
