Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionAn Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and certifying aircraft and aircraft systems to ensure safe, reliable, and airworthy operations. The role performs maintenance in accordance with approved technical data, aviation regulations, and company procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive aircraft maintenance.Inspect aircraft structures, engines, systems, components, and equipment.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics systems as applicable.Conduct aircraft inspections, functional tests, component replacements, and maintenance checks.Review aircraft maintenance manuals, technical instructions, service bulletins, and engineering documentation.Record maintenance activities, defects, repairs, inspections, and component changes accurately.Ensure all maintenance work complies with approved procedures and aviation regulations.Coordinate with pilots, maintenance teams, engineers, technical services, and operations staff.Identify aircraft defects and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Assist with aircraft servicing, modifications, inspections, troubleshooting, and return-to-service activities.Ensure proper use, storage, and control of tools, equipment, spare parts, and technical materials.Support audits, regulatory inspections, safety investigations, and quality-assurance activities.Maintain high standards of workplace safety, aircraft safety, and technical discipline.Stay updated with aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.Support continuous improvement in aircraft reliability, maintenance efficiency, safety, compliance, and operational readiness.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Maintenance, Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.Relevant aircraft maintenance license or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) certification as required.Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, MRO, airline, aviation, or aerospace operations.Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, engines, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or avionics systems.Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and maintenance documentation.Strong troubleshooting, inspection, diagnostic, and repair skills.Knowledge of ICAO, EASA, FAA, or applicable local aviation regulations is advantageous.Familiarity with aircraft maintenance and technical-record systems.Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and technical accuracy.Good communication, teamwork, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and in demanding operational environments.Professional, disciplined, reliable, safety-conscious, and technically skilled.
