Lowcountry Aviation offers opportunities for aviation technicians to grow their skills in a dynamic operational setting.Role Description The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Walterboro, SC. This role is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of aircraft in accordance with manufacturer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards. Daily tasks include inspecting airframes and systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs and replacements, and documenting all work performed in maintenance records. The technician will collaborate with other team members to ensure aircraft safety, reliability, and readiness, while adhering to all FAA and company safety protocols. This role may also support operational tasks such as coordinating with pilots and operations staff, preparing aircraft for return to service, and maintaining a clean and well-organized work environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Systems, with experience working on various types of aircraft.Candidates should possess skills in PowerPlant systems, including inspection, repair, and servicing of engines and related components.Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently and accurately.FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.Experience working in a Part 135, Part 145, or similar regulated aviation environment is beneficial.Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to follow technical manuals and maintenance documents.Ability to work on-site in Walterboro, SC, including occasional extended hours to meet operational needs.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with maintenance, operations, and flight crews.
