Role Purpose:Jabal Asset Management is seeking an experienced Alternative Investment Fund Manager to lead the end-to-end oversight of private-equity feeder funds, including valuation review, fund reporting, investor servicing, governance, fund operations, and investor-level performance accounting.Key Responsibilities:1. Underlying Fund Oversight & ValuationLead the periodic review of the underlying PE fund, including financial statements, capital account statements, valuation reports and other GP reporting. Review and challenge valuations of underlying portfolio companies, including valuation methodologies, key assumptions, financing rounds, operating performance and relevant market benchmarks. Coordinate the feeder fund's internal valuation review and approval process and maintain appropriate supporting documentation and audit trail. Monitor fund-level performance, commitments, capital deployment, realizations, distributions, liquidity and other key metrics. Identify material changes or issues requiring escalation to senior management, the investment committee, valuation committee or other relevant governance bodies. 2. Portfolio Monitoring & GP EngagementMaintain regular engagement with the underlying fund's GP and investor relations team. Follow material developments across underlying portfolio companies, including financing rounds, operating milestones, valuation changes, exits, write-downs, strategic developments and relevant industry news. Develop a strong understanding of the fund's frontier technology investment themes, portfolio companies and value-creation thesis. Produce a concise monthly investor newsletter combining GP information, portfolio-company developments and relevant external news. Maintain a structured information repository covering portfolio companies and significant fund developments. 3. Investor Relations & Client ServicingAct as the principal point of contact for feeder fund investors. Conduct investor calls and meetings and respond promptly and accurately to investor questions and information requests. Explain fund performance, valuations, portfolio developments, capital calls, distributions and other fund matters to investors. Coordinate responses to more complex investor requests with the GP, investment team, administrator, legal counsel or other relevant parties. Maintain a high standard of investor communication, particularly around significant portfolio events, valuation changes, capital calls and distributions. 4. Fund Reporting & Investor CommunicationsProduce the feeder fund's semiannual investor report covering performance, portfolio developments, valuation changes, capital activity and fund outlook. Prepare and maintain the semiannual investor presentation and other investor-facing materials. Ensure consistency and accuracy across financial statements, investor reports, presentations, newsletters and client communications. Develop reporting that translates complex private-market and frontier-technology investments into clear, decision-useful information for investors. 5. Fund Governance, Regulatory & Service-Provider ManagementCoordinate the fund's ongoing regulatory, governance and reporting obligations. Serve as the primary operational liaison with the fund administrator, custodian, auditors, legal counsel and compliance function. Maintain the fund calendar covering regulatory filings, financial statements, audits, valuation processes, investor reporting and other recurring obligations. Coordinate annual audit and financial-statement processes and respond to auditor and administrator requests. Ensure required documentation, approvals, records and investor communications are completed and retained appropriately. Escalate regulatory, compliance, valuation, operational or investor issues promptly. 6. Secondary Transactions & LiquidityManage the operational process for permitted secondary-market transactions in feeder fund interests. Coordinate buyer/seller documentation, pricing information, approvals, KYC/AML, legal documentation, administrator records and settlement. Liaise with investors, legal counsel, compliance, the administrator and other parties throughout the transaction. Maintain accurate records of secondary transfers and their impact on investor ownership and capital accounts. 7. Investor-Level Accounting & Performance ReportingMaintain or independently verify detailed investor-level records covering subscriptions, commitments, capital calls, contributions, distributions, fees, transfers and other cash flows. Reconcile investor-level records with fund administrator records and resolve discrepancies. Produce investor-specific performance reporting, including: contributed and distributed, capital; remaining invested capital/NAV; cumulative cash returned; cash-on-cash multiple / MOIC; DPI, RVPI and TVPI, where applicable; gross and net IRR; and other relevant private-equity performance metrics. Maintain complete historical cash-flow schedules for each investor and ensure that investor reporting can be substantiated and reconciled to the fund's official accounting records. Support investors with bespoke accounting, performance, audit and other information requests.Key Skills:Private Markets & Investment KnowledgeStrong understanding of private equity fund structures, including feeder/master fund arrangements, commitments, capital calls, distributions and secondary transfers. Strong understanding of private-equity valuation principles and ability to critically review GP valuations rather than simply reproduce reported NAVs. Ability to understand venture/growth/private-equity investments in frontier technologies and communicate complex investment developments to sophisticated investors. Familiarity with private-market performance measures including IRR, MOIC, DPI, RVPI and TVPI. Financial & Analytical SkillsStrong financial-statement and investment-analysis capabilities. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including investor-level cash-flow and return calculations. Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex financial information across GP, administrator and internal records. Ability to identify inconsistencies, valuation issues and unusual movements and investigate them independently. Investor Relations & CommunicationExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce institutional-quality investor reports, presentations and newsletters. Strong client-facing skills and credibility with sophisticated private investors, family offices and institutional investors. Ability to explain complex technology investments, valuation methodologies and private-market performance clearly and concisely. Fund Operations, Governance & RegulatoryWorking knowledge of private-fund administration, custody, audit, legal and compliance processes. Ability to manage multiple external service providers and hold them accountable for deadlines and deliverables. Strong process-management and documentation discipline. Understanding of KYC/AML, investor onboarding, fund governance and applicable regulatory reporting requirements. Personal CapabilitiesHigh degree of ownership and ability to operate independently. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Strong judgment regarding what information requires investigation or escalation. Comfortable combining investment analysis, client interaction and detailed operational work. Able to manage multiple recurring deadlines while responding quickly to ad hoc investor and GP requests. Proactive rather than purely reactive: expected to identify developments relevant to investors and the fund without waiting to be instructed.Qualification & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, investment, economics, or a related discipline. 7+ years of relevant experience spanning private equity/venture capital investor relations, fund finance, fund operations, investment analysis or private-markets fund administration. Experience with technology, venture/growth equity, or complex alternative investments would be particularly valuable.
