Job Title: AML Business AnalystStart Date: ASAPDuration: March 19th 2027Extension possible: YesConversion Possible: YesOnsite – 3 days a week (Downtown Toronto)Scope of Project: AML – transaction monitoring - Identify AML from customer transitionYears of Overall Experience: 5-7yrsPreferred/Ideal Candidate Background: Previous AML transaction monitoring is ideal but needs a business background.SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:The candidate should be able to understand business requirements and interact and explain to tech. and QA teams, Transaction Monitoring, and broader Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) platforms, acting as a critical bridge between FCRM business users and Technology delivery teams.This role ensures that complex regulatory, risk, and detection requirements are accurately translated into technology solutions that are well‑designed, data‑enabled, tested, operationally ready, and sustainable in BAU.

The analyst enables safe and effective change across FCRM platforms by combining business application ownership, business testing leadership, data enablement, and strong stakeholder orchestration.MUST-HAVE Hard Skills:5-7 of experience – for really great candidates this can be relaxedStrong BA skills with BAT (Business Acceptance Testing) experience. Track record of working with Data, Technology and Data Governance teamsStrong SQL capability: Interpret data and derive conclusionsComfortable with large datasets query and handlingUnderstand ETL, data mapping, data lineageCan create and execute Business testing plans focused on from a business use case perspective; work closely with BAT test leadsFamiliarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other BA toolsSOFT SKILLS:1.) Can take ownership and be single point of contact between multiple teams and handle small initiatives2.) Strong interpersonal skills3.) Great communication, able to explain tech discussions in simple business termsNICE-TO-HAVE: 1.) AML experience preferred; Oracle ECM/Transaction Monitoring experience considered an asset
