AML Officer – External Services

About the roleTo support the continued development of our AML External Services activities, Value Partners is looking for an AML Officer to join its Regulatory Services team.Working under the supervision of the Head of AML External Services and in close collaboration with other team members, the AML Officer will contribute to assignments performed for a diversified portfolio of clients operating mainly in the Luxembourg financial and investment fund sectors.The position combines hands-on KYC/AML responsibilities with broader compliance support activities. It offers the opportunity to develop strong operational expertise while gaining exposure to different clients, business models and regulatory environments.KYC and AML activitiesPerforming client and investor onboarding and periodic KYC reviews;Collecting, reviewing and validating identification and due diligence documentation;Identifying and documenting beneficial owners, ownership structures and controlling persons;Conducting sanctions, PEP and adverse media screenings;Assessing customer and investor risk classifications in accordance with applicable procedures;Performing enhanced due diligence on higher-risk relationships;Identifying missing or outdated information and following up with the relevant stakeholders;Maintaining accurate and complete KYC files, registers and monitoring tools;Contributing to remediation and client file review exercises;Escalating identified red flags, unusual situations and potential AML/CFT concerns.Compliance supportSupporting the implementation and monitoring of clients’ AML/CFT and compliance frameworks;Assisting with the preparation of compliance monitoring plans and related testing;Contributing to periodic AML and compliance reporting to management, boards and other governance bodies;Supporting the review and update of policies, procedures and internal control documentation;Assisting with regulatory monitoring and the assessment of relevant regulatory developments;Contributing to AML/CFT risk assessments and control activities;Supporting the preparation of documentation and information requested during audits, regulatory inspections or internal reviews;Following up on identified findings and remediation actions.Client service and teamworkWorking directly with clients, including assignments performed at client premises when required;Managing assigned tasks and deadlines across several client engagements;Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders;Contributing to the continuous improvement and standardisation of internal processes and working tools;Providing operational back-up to other team members when necessary;Participating in internal knowledge-sharing and training initiatives.About youBachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, finance, economics, business administration or a related field;Initial professional experience in AML/KYC, compliance, the investment fund industry, a management company, a professional services firm or another regulated financial institution;Applications from motivated graduates with relevant internships or work-study experience will also be considered;Good understanding of AML/KYC principles and a strong interest in the Luxembourg regulatory environment;Knowledge of Luxembourg investment funds and their main stakeholders would be an advantage;Professional proficiency in both English and French, written and spoken;Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.About usSince 2012, Value Partners has been serving the major players of the private equity, real estate and credit fund industry as well as banks and multinational companies (listed and non-listed).A special focus on proactivity, excellence and quality has been applied consistently with only one mission: to be perfectly in line with our clients’ expectations.Value Partners’ service lines are:Accounting and Consolidation ServicesTax ServicesCorporate ServicesFund AdministrationAML & KYC ServicesOur team is composed of experienced professionals with a strong expertise of complex financial and tax structures and working for a broad range of local and international clients.
