As we continue our transformation into a marketing-driven company, we are investing in marketing as a revenue engine.Renkus-Heinz is seeking a seasoned Amplifier Production & Repair Supervisor to own amplifier assembly, firmware loading, production test repair, aftermarket electronics repair, and root cause closure for repeat amplifier failures. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced troubleshooter who can diagnose analog, digital, DSP, and networked audio systems to the component level while maintaining reliable amplifier production output. The successful candidate will be accountable for amplifier assembly output, correct firmware loading, repair turnaround, first-pass yield, repeat-failure reduction, accurate production and service records, effective procedures, and the readiness of the amplifier assembly and repair function. The role is expected to spend approximately 75% of its time performing hands-on repair, troubleshooting, testing, and root cause work, and 25% managing amplifier assembly and firmware-loading workflow, reporting results, maintaining procedures, and developing personnel.Core ResponsibilitiesAmplifier Assembly & Firmware Loading: Own the day-to-day assembly, configuration, firmware loading, testing, and completion of amplifier products. Establish priorities, coordinate work, verify that the correct firmware and configuration are applied, maintain accurate output records, and address blockers that threaten schedule or quality.Aftermarket Electronics Repair: Own every assigned amplifier and electronics RMA or service repair from receipt and diagnosis through repair, verification, documentation, and return. Make and document the repair/replace/scrap decision within established authority. Production Test Repair: Own diagnosis and repair of amplifier and electronic units that fail production tests. Restore units efficiently, document findings, and use failure data to reduce recurring defects and test escapes. Repeat-Failure Root Cause & Corrective Action: Lead root cause analysis on repeat amplifier and electronics failures. Define the problem, gather evidence, isolate the cause, coordinate containment, drive corrective action to closure, and verify with objective evidence that the action worked. Service/Aftermarket and Quality own closure; Engineering defines or approves the technical method when required. Required Skills & AbilitiesExtensive hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience covering DSP-related circuitry testing, as well as diagnosis of PCB’s, power supplies, networks, and firmware. While professional audio is one route, equivalent experience from another field (medical devices, industrial electronics, and similar) is equally valuable.Prior experience leading work, coordinating technicians or assemblers, maintaining production priorities, or owning a technical work cell or repair function.Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, mixed-signal circuits, audio (or equivalent) signal paths, power amplifiers, and switch-mode power supplies.Practical experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the component level, including circuit tracing and isolation of failed components.Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB documentation, bills of material, work instructions, test procedures, and technical specifications.Working knowledge of DSP-based products, firmware-driven systems, Ethernet fundamentals, IP addressing, and network-based control systems.Experience loading, verifying, and troubleshooting firmware or configuration files in electronic products.Proficiency with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, microscopes, and related electronic test equipment.Experience with hand soldering, SMT rework, PCB repair and modification, component replacement, and post-repair verification.Demonstrated ability to perform structured root cause analysis and verify corrective-action effectiveness.Ability to maintain accurate production and repair records and communicate technical findings clearly.Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Additional ERP experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Professional audio amplifier manufacturing or repair experience.Experience with Audio Precision test equipment or comparable audio analyzers.Experience with production firmware-loading tools, configuration control, or electronic product serialization.Experience designing or building test fixtures, diagnostic aids, programming fixtures, or simple test automation.IPC soldering or electronics workmanship certification.Technical degree or certificate, military electronics training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics technology.Other RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to sit, stand, bend, and work at electronics workstations for extended periods.Visual acuity & manual dexterity sufficient for inspection, SMT/solder rework, assembly, and component-level troubleshooting.Work Environment & ScheduleOn-site manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, odors, and noise.Occasional handling of (non-)hazardous materials in accordance with company safety procedures and applicable regulations.Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.Ability to work occasional overtime during the week and on Saturdays, sometimes on short notice.Ability to follow posted factory regulations and safety rulesCompensation$39.00 - $49.00 per hour
