Through efficient collection, dismantling, recycling, and awareness initiatives, AGIS is working towards building a cleaner and more circular future.Role Description We are looking for a hands-on, resourceful Hardware Refurbishment & E-Waste Operations Technician to lead our day-to-day dismantling, testing, and component recovery line. In this role, you will be the core engine of our triage operation—inspecting incoming IT and industrial electronic scrap, determining what can be refurbished for resale, harvesting high-value components, and ensuring safe material fraction segregation.Key Responsibilities: Triage & Assessment: Inspect incoming e-waste lots (computers, servers, power supplies, networking gear) and classify items for Direct Refurbishment, Parts Harvesting, or Material Scrap. Safe Dismantling & Sorting: Tear down hardware using manual and pneumatic tools while safely removing hazardous components (batteries, capacitors) prior to processing. Testing & Refurbishment: Bench-test power supply units (PSUs), storage drives (HDDs/SSDs), RAM modules, and displays. Perform basic board-level troubleshooting and component swaps. Data Sanitization: Execute secure data wiping on storage devices using certified software tools in compliance with data privacy standards.Qualifications Candidate Qualifications & Skills Education: ITI, Diploma, or Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Hardware & Networking (CHN). Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in computer hardware repair, IT asset disposition (ITAD), motherboard troubleshooting, or industrial scrap segregation. Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic bench tools, multimeters, power supply testers, and drive wiping utilities. Sound knowledge of component grading (e.g., classifying PCB grades and IC chips). Practical understanding of safety procedures for handling Lithium-Ion batteries, power transformers, and display panels. Key Attributes: High attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, self-driven work ethic, and a practical mindset for maximizing material recovery value.
