Analyst – Origination and ExecutionPrivate Credit | Commercial Real Estate FinanceThe OpportunityOur client is an established credit fund manager operating in the Australian commercial real estate debt market. They are seeking an Analyst to join their Origination and Execution team, supporting the full deal lifecycle from initial structuring through to settlement and ongoing portfolio management.This is a genuine opportunity for a banking professional to move into private credit, working closely with experienced Deal Leads on live transactions across origination, credit underwriting, execution and deal management.Key ResponsibilitiesLoan Origination and Credit UnderwritingAssist with drafting of deal summaries and updating term sheets for pricing and other high-level commercial termsBuild and maintain financial models for new deals and pricing across transaction types, including scenario modellingComplete payout figure calculations, final deal reconciliations and settlement statementsSupport the drafting and preparation of Investment Committee papers as directed by the Deal Lead or senior team membersComplete KYC/AML checks in accordance with credit policiesDraft Request for Information (RFI) documentation and review due diligence materialsExecution of TransactionsAssist with management of deal settlement and execution requirements as directed by the deal teamLiaise with appointed external lawyers to support preparation and execution of required documentationComplete compliance checklistsWork with the deal team and finance function to finalise funding and settlementDeal ManagementActively manage an assigned portfolio of loansComplete Monthly Deal Management reports for review and sign-off by Deal LeadsMonitor deal performance across the transaction lifecycle, identifying risks early and escalating to the Deal Lead or Deal Partner as appropriateAbout YouThis role requires a solid foundation in banking. Candidates without prior banking experience will not be considered.Essential: 2/3 years experience gained within a bank — e.g. corporate, commercial, business or institutional banking, credit, leveraged/structured finance, or a related lending environmentStrong financial modelling and Excel skills, with the ability to build and interpret pricing and scenario modelsWorking knowledge of credit underwriting, KYC/AML and due diligence processesHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple transactions concurrentlyExcellent written communication skills, including experience drafting deal or credit papersA relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, law or a related disciplineHow to ApplyThis is a confidential search and the identity of the hiring organisation will not be disclosed until a later stage of the process.
