Apply & track with Apply EdgeVEIC is searching for a skilled Analyst to support its New England Heat Pump Accelerator Program. The Analyst performs research, writing, and analysis to support the successful execution of Accelerator program and consulting projects and services delivering energy solutions to clients across the country. This Analyst role is expected to primarily support the Accelerator Project with work that focuses on Heat Pump adoption innovation projects and market transformation measurement, program administration and reporting. This position may also support internal initiatives or a Consulting project as needed.Essential FunctionsConducts research for New England Heat Pump Accelerator applying quantitative and/or qualitative methods, and analyzes research to derive insights, including literature reviews, code/policy/program research, stakeholder outreach (through interviews/surveys), extracting useful insights from large existing data sets, innovation project data, or Accelerator program performance metricsAssists in supporting project deliverables for external clients, including case studies, program reports, client memos, project tracking, research project findings reports/presentations, public facing educational content, and moreSupports project and program work under the direction of a program team lead in collaboration with the program team, including attending program meetings, task management, file/document management, program administration, and program record keepingSupports the development of approaches and methods and, in some cases, may lead tasksSupports activities of other staff, groups, and divisions within VEIC as necessary to accomplish organizational goals and objectivesOther duties as assignedKnowledge And ExperienceStrong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEICUndergraduate degree in a related field or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquiredStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to apply qualitative analysis techniques, and data management practices. Facility with data management and manipulationStrong research skills, including facility with reading project reports or policy/regulatory information, synthesizing relevant information, and composing client memos on findingsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple competing priorities and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to be organized, detail oriented, and accurateGeneral knowledge of standard office computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet softwareExperience with energy efficiency and/or building electrification analysis, programs, or policies is preferredGeneral understanding of regional energy and climate policies, utility programs, and decarbonization initiatives across New England or a willingness to learn is preferredAll positions at VEIC are subject to criminal background checks. Physical requirements include:Ability to remain stationary at a workstation for extended periods (typically 6-8 hours per day with regular breaks)Regular use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone/headset requiring fine motor skills and repetitive hand/wrist movementsVisual acuity to view digital screens, documents, and presentations for prolonged periodsVerbal communication abilities are sufficient for clear articulation during in-person and virtual meetings, presentations, and discussionsAuditory capabilities to participate effectively in conversations, conference calls, and virtual collaboration sessionsCognitive focus for simultaneous management of multiple communication streams, projects, and stakeholder relationshipsOccasional movement between meeting spaces, collaboration areas, and individual workstationsMinimal lifting requirements (typically under 15 pounds) for office supplies, equipment, or materialsVEIC provides ergonomic assessments and appropriate accommodation to support team members in this collaborative environment, if needed.
