Analyst

Supports Sycuan’s data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to understand needs, translate them into analytical solutions, and help drive operational and strategic improvements across the enterprise.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Financial and business reports, recommendations, and analysis:Compile organizational performance data and develop performance reports with meaningful metrics and data storytellingDevelop summary of findings and provide recommendations to the manager of Enterprise AnalyticsGenerate daily, weekly, and monthly reports in accordance with department and company needs, and best practices.Partner with departments to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses using tools such as Tableau, Excel, and SQL.Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure accuracy and consistency.Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business recommendations.Document data sources, methodologies, and processes to ensure transparency and repeatability.Support data governance and quality initiatives.Effectively leverages storytelling to communicate insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.Job Specifications:Education and Experience:Essential:Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics or Finance or related field or equivalent experience1–3 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Desirable:Experience with R and/or Python is a strong plus.Experience in gaming and/or hospitality analyticsMBA or other graduate level degreeSkills and Knowledge:Essential:Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet applicationsProficiency in SQLProficiency in Tableau or other data visualization toolsAbility to perform complex mathematical calculationsAbility to communicate and interact effectively with guests and team membersAbility to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignmentsAbility to manage large projects and multiple projects to completionAbility to identify opportunities, assess trends and provide recommendationsAbility to document and complete office formsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex documentsAbility to appear for work on timeAbility to maintain professionalism and composureAbility to understand and follow verbal directives and written directionsAbility to accept constructive criticismAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to analyze, compile and disseminate complex information in a clear and concise mannerAbility to analyze complex problems and make sound judgmentsDesirable:Multi-lingualAdvanced computer skillsSupervisory/Managerial Accountability:Direct: NoneIndirect: NonePlease note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
