Analyst, Refining (Oil & Gas)

Our client in the energy sector is seeking a Refining Analyst to provide market insights and forecasts that support commercial decisions. The role covers global refinery operations, fuel-product markets and the evolving impact of the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate global crude and refined-product trends to assess supply-demand balances and refinery demand.Forecast refining margins, product yields and output, factoring in technical and operational constraints.Track refinery additions, closures, maintenance and outages, maintaining an accurate global refinery database.Produce market outlooks, research reports and presentations to support business planning.Assess how biofuels, alternative fuels and energy-transition developments affect the refining sector.Conduct scenario analysis and targeted research for commercial, origination and asset-related teams.Improve research methods and forecasting models as market conditions evolve.

Requirements

Degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.Relevant experience in refining, refined-product analysis, energy consultancy or market research.Sound knowledge of global fuel markets, including refined products, biofuels and alternative fuels.Experience with Linear Programming models for refinery yield forecasting would be an advantage.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, practical insights.Effective communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders.Able to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.How to Apply:Interested applicants may submit their updated resume in MS Word format to: Shahul Hameed Bin Abdullah (EA Reg.
