Practice Group SummaryShareholder Advisory services include M&A Advisory, Activism Preparation and Defense, Board Governance Services, Corporate Governance Advisory, Proxy Solicitation, Capital Markets Intelligence, Global Debt and Bondholder Services, and Stakeholder Research.The OpportunityWe are looking to strengthen our team in Hong Kong with a new Analyst to support our growing client list and help us maintain our market-leading position.Key ResponsibilitiesWork within the Hong Kong Shareholder Advisory team, alongside to support Senior Director conducting comprehensive execution of shareholder campaigns (M&A, EGM, SGM) for clients in Hong Kong, China and South East Asia.Conduct research in relations to institutional investors profile from corporate governance policy to proxy voting policy. Assist senior team members to monitor latest corporate governance and shareholder meetings developments, trends and shifts in views.Study and provide insight around listed company from market news monitoring to data analysis around trading activities. Learn and understand process for preparing shareholder identification reports from processing custodian bank disclosures, mapping beneficial owners to investment managers, and generating into a final product.Assist with the development of communications, analysis, and presentations that clearly convey strategic insights and recommendations strengthen listed company’s overall investor relations strategy.Take initiative to identify areas for value-added contributions beyond assigned tasks. Understand Sodali’s role as a proxy solicitation expert and the impact we have during key transactions.Qualifications:1 year experience within capital markets-facing consulting or advisory environment would be highly desired. Candidates with limited relevant experience, including recent graduates will also be considered.Bachelor degree - ideally in Business, Finance, Economics related disciplines.Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is highly preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), AI proficiency is a plus. Strong interest in finance and capital markets is highly desirable. Knowledge of or prior experience with financial platforms such as FactSet, Bloomberg, ISS-Corporate, Diligent Market Intelligence, or Broadridge is a plus, though not mandatory.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.A genuine desire to grow your career and professional network at Sodali & Co.Sodali & Co is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer.
