Analytical Engineer

HireStakes is working with a fast growing subscription entertainment platform that has recently launched internationally and has an ambitious product and tech roadmap ahead.They're looking for an Analytics Engineer to join their lean data team, reporting to the Head of Data. This is a varied role covering the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and modelling through to dashboards and insight.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, test and maintain end to end data pipelinesBuild clean, tested and documented data models using dbt and BigQueryWrite Python scripts to extract data from third party APIs and orchestrate workflowsBuild reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards in Looker Studio and MetabaseWork with engineering, product and commercial teams to turn business requirements into data solutionsIdentify data quality issues and performance improvements across the data platformRequirementsStrong hands on experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Run and DatastreamProficiency in dbt, including testing, documentation and dimensional modellingSolid Python skills for data extraction and automationAdvanced SQL, including window functions, query optimisation and BigQuery cost managementExperience with Git and CI/CD workflowsExperience building dashboards in Looker Studio or MetabaseExperience in a scale up, ecommerce, subscription or consumer business is a plus
