Analytics Translator - Analytics & AIAbout the RoleWe are looking for an Analytics Translator to support an Analytics and AI transformation that will strengthen the organization’s data-driven decision-making, analytics maturity and AI capability.You will connect the business and data engineering teams, so that the analytics and AI products we deliver are coherent, standardized and interpreted consistently across the organization.You will need exceptional logical thinking, strong business acumen, the ability to work with data and understand its structures and attributes, and the ability to document and communicate clearly and unambiguously.This is a contract-based role. Engagement terms will be agreed with the selected candidate. What you'll do

• Work with business teams to clarify and document business requirements and KPIs, and to wireframe the deliverables that require analytical and AI solutions.
• Build comprehensive data dictionaries with source system owners.
• Document source data issues, gaps and uncertainties, and raise them with source system owners so that they are corrected.
• Work with analysts to validate and document data logic, formulas and lineage from raw data to final metrics, including exceptions, outliers and caveats.
• Confirm that the delivered analytics and AI products agree with the documented requirements, data quality controls and logic.
• Support data governance by keeping documentation current in central data catalogues and knowledge bases, in line with industry best practice. What you'll bring
• A degree or professional qualification in a quantitative, business or finance discipline.
• 3–4 years in business analysis, management information (MI) reporting or data analysis. Candidates with less experience may be considered for junior positions. Financial services experience and domain fluency are an advantage.
• A proven record of independent analysis, logical thinking and business problem solving.
• The ability to work through data independently to establish definitions, transformations and lineage. SQL skills are an advantage.
• The ability to write clear, contextual, unambiguous documentation, and to maintain catalogue metadata.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to reconcile competing definitions between stakeholders.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools is an advantage. Why join us
