The company also focuses on digitizing the informal economy through bridging platforms, offering talent the opportunity to work on impactful, innovative projects in emerging markets.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Android Developer role based in Phnom Penh. The Android Developer will design, build, and maintain Android applications, ensuring performance, usability, and security across a range of devices. Responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into robust mobile features, writing clean and testable code, and integrating APIs and third-party services. The role also involves troubleshooting and debugging issues, optimizing application performance, participating in code reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of development practices and standards.Qualifications Proven skills in Mobile Application Development and working with Mobile Applications across the full lifecycle (design, build, test, release, maintain).Hands-on experience in Android Development and Android Design, including familiarity with Android UI patterns, Material Design guidelines, and responsive layouts.Strong Software Development fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and version control (e.g., Git).Experience with Android SDK, Kotlin and/or Java, RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services.Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code, with familiarity in unit testing and debugging tools.Good collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams on-site.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in fintech, banking, IoT, or smart city projects is an advantage; understanding of security best practices for mobile apps is a plus.
