The app offers 360-degree health visibility and round-the-clock access to a dedicated medical support team via in-app chat. Through cutting-edge patient and doctor-facing applications and an extensive provider network, dru connects users with healthcare professionals as needed. Launched in 2023, dru is available on the App Store and Google Play for users, patients, and caregivers across MEA.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer (Android Developer) role based in Cairo. The Android Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for the dru platform, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience. Responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing performance, fixing bugs, and collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable solutions. The role also involves integrating third-party services and medical devices, participating in code reviews, and adhering to best practices in software development and mobile security. The Android Developer will contribute to improving existing app functionalities and supporting continuous releases and updates.QualificationsCandidates should possess skills in Mobile Application Development and working with Mobile Applications.Candidates should possess skills in Android Development and Android Design.Candidates should possess skills in Software Development, including coding, testing, and debugging.Experience with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, and RESTful APIs.Familiarity with modern Android architectures (e.g., MVVM), Jetpack components, and version control systems such as Git.Understanding of mobile security, performance optimization, and UI/UX best practices.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in health tech or building apps that integrate with medical devices is a plus.
