The ideal candidate will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to build secure, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new application features.Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into mobile applications.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards.Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and bugs.Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure software quality.Ensure compliance with mobile security standards and Android development best practices.Stay updated with the latest Android technologies, libraries, and development trends.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.Experience with Android Studio, Android SDK, and Gradle.Knowledge of Android Jetpack components and Material Design guidelines.Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party library integration.Understanding of application architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVC.Experience with Git or other version control systems.Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with Firebase services such as Analytics, Crashlytics, and Push Notifications.Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.Knowledge of local databases such as Room or SQLite.Experience with publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Work EnvironmentShriram General Insurance offers a collaborative and technology-driven work environment where Android developers contribute to building secure, scalable, and customer-focused mobile applications that support the organization's digital transformation initiatives.
