Android Developer

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer with deep expertise in native Android development to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong Android fundamentals, extensive experience with Kotlin, and hands-on expertise in Kotlin Coroutines & Flow or RxJava.You will play a key role in architecting and delivering scalable, high-quality Android applications, including features that communicate with connected hardware. Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and connected peripherals will be a strong advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable native Android applications.Build features that communicate with connected hardware and external peripherals, including BLE where applicable.Architect application layers using modern reactive and asynchronous programming patterns.Develop modern, responsive, and production-ready UIs using Jetpack Compose.Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code following Android best practices and established architectural patterns.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across application, performance, and connectivity layers.Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, hardware, and other cross-functional teams to define and prioritize requirements.Drive engineering excellence through unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and performance profiling.Contribute to technical decisions and continuously improve application architecture, performance, reliability, and code quality.Required Qualifications8+ years of overall software engineering experience, with the majority focused on native Android development.Strong command of Kotlin and core Android fundamentals.Strong understanding of memory management, concurrency, app/activity lifecycle, and Android architecture.Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines & Flow and/or RxJava.Proven experience building and maintaining production applications using Jetpack Compose.Strong understanding of modern Android architectural patterns and best practices.Experience integrating Android applications with external connected peripherals.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, particularly across application and connectivity layers.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Good to HaveHands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).Experience with Android Bluetooth APIs / Bluetooth GATT.Experience working with connected devices, IoT, wearables, or hardware-integrated applications.Experience with performance optimization and profiling.Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
