Role Description This part-time remote Android Developer role focuses on building and maintaining Android applications that support algorithmic trading tools and related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing new features, optimizing app performance, and ensuring a responsive, secure, and user-friendly experience. The Android Developer will collaborate with backend and data teams to integrate APIs, handle real-time data, and implement best practices for mobile architecture. Additional tasks include debugging and resolving issues, writing clean and testable code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation. The role also involves staying current with Android ecosystem updates and suggesting improvements to enhance reliability and usability.QualificationsMobile application expertise: candidates should possess skills in Mobile Application Development and working with Mobile Applications.Android-specific skills: candidates should possess strong Android Development and Android Design capabilities.Core engineering skills: candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, including object-oriented programming and version control.Experience with Android frameworks and tools such as Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, and RESTful API integration.Familiarity with real-time data handling, asynchronous programming, and basic security practices for mobile apps.Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting and communicate clearly with distributed team members.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience or interest in financial markets, trading systems, or quantitative tools is a plus.
