You'll own features end-to-end on our native Android app — used daily by parents and educators across 50+ countries — while collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, test, and ship features in our native Android applicationDevelop and maintain modules using JavaWork with real-time data systems like Firebase Realtime DatabaseIntegrate REST APIs and third-party SDKs including payment gatewaysOptimize for performance, memory, and battery across a wide range of devicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product featuresWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient codeParticipate in code reviews and continuously improve engineering practicesLeverage AI tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot to enhance productivityRequired Skills2-5 years of hands-on experience in Android developmentStrong proficiency in JavaStrong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principlesSolid understanding of the Android SDK, app lifecycle, and threadingExperience with Firebase (Realtime Database, Auth, Cloud Messaging) or similar real-time systemsFamiliarity with REST APIs and modern mobile architectureBasic to intermediate understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL)Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven systemsFamiliarity with version control systems (Git)Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detailGood to HaveExperience working with AI tools like Claude or GitHub CopilotExperience integrating third-party payment gateway SDKsExposure to cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)Understanding of performance optimization and scalabilityPrior experience in a startup environmentWhy Join UsBuild products used by educators and parents globallyHigh ownership with real impact from day oneWork with a global, fast-moving teamCompetitive compensation and strong growth trajectory
