Android Developer

PDMS is looking for a Mid-Level Android Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java/Kotlin and Android application development.Minimum Required Experience: 2+ YearsJob Type: Permanent (Full Time)Responsibilities:Develop and maintain Android applications using Java/Kotlin.Work with existing legacy + modern Android codebases.Implement features, fix bugs, and improve app performance and stability.Work with Gradle, AndroidX, Firebase, APIs, and local databases.Manage app releases, signing, and Play Store deployments.Work with multilingual and RTL layouts.Requirements:Minimum 2 years of professional Android development experience.Strong Java/Kotlin and Android SDK knowledge.Good understanding of Android lifecycle, Services, Receivers, and background tasks.Experience with Gradle, Retrofit/OkHttp, Room, Coroutines, and WorkManager.Strong familiarity with Firebase, Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing.Experience with ProGuard/R8 and app release processes.Good debugging and problem-solving skills.Comfortable owning a legacy-plus-modern codebase without demanding a full rewrite.Able to work independently across a multi-module monorepo with 8+ Gradle modules/sub-projects.Plus Points:Custom Keyboard / IME / InputMethodService experience.C/C++ and JNI/NDK experience.Jetpack Compose.AdMob, subscriptions, or Huawei HMS.We are looking for someone who can take ownership, work independently, and confidently maintain and improve an existing production Android application.
