In this part-time, fully remote role, you will collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to build responsive mobile features, improve application performance, and deliver reliable releases.The ideal candidate has strong Android development fundamentals, practical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to clean, maintainable code. You should be comfortable translating product requirements into technical solutions, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to an effective software development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and, where required, Java.Build user-friendly mobile interfaces that follow established design guidelines.Integrate REST APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define application requirements.Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.Implement unit tests and support integration, functional, and regression testing.Identify, investigate, and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance issues.Optimize application responsiveness, stability, battery usage, and resource consumption.Support application releases, version updates, and Google Play deployment workflows.Apply appropriate security practices to protect application data and user information.Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and technical documentation.Stay informed about Android platform updates, development tools, and emerging mobile technologies.Requirements3+ years of professional experience in Android or mobile application development preferred.Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.Proficiency in Kotlin and familiarity with Java.Understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern Android development practices.Experience with REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, and data persistence.Familiarity with Jetpack components, Jetpack Compose, or XML-based UI development.Understanding of version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.Knowledge of mobile testing, debugging, performance optimization, and application security.Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.Professional certifications are not mandatory; practical development experience is valued.What We OfferFlexible, part-time, fully remote working arrangements.Opportunities to contribute to modern mobile products and meaningful features.Collaboration with an internationally focused technology team.A professional environment that values innovation, code quality, and continuous learning.The opportunity to improve mobile user experiences through reliable software engineering.
