This role supports anesthesia providers and nursing staff by preparing, cleaning, and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies in operating and procedure rooms. Daily responsibilities include assisting with patient positioning and transport, monitoring stock levels of clinical supplies, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment. The role also involves basic patient care tasks under appropriate supervision, such as taking vital signs, helping with patient comfort needs, and documenting activities as directed. The Anesthesia Tech/Patient Care Tech collaborates closely with clinical teams, follows all infection control and safety protocols, and responds promptly to changing patient and departmental needs.Qualifications Ability to assist with anesthesia equipment setup, cleaning, and maintenance, following established procedures and safety standards.Skills in basic patient care tasks, including vital sign measurement, patient transport, and support with daily needs under clinical supervision.Strong attention to detail, organization, and adherence to infection control, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams.Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move equipment, and assist in safe patient handling and positioning.High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a patient care technician, nursing assistant, or anesthesia tech program preferred.Prior experience in a hospital, surgical center, or similar clinical setting is beneficial.Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
