The role supports daily operations, guest engagement, administration, workshop facilitation, and safety compliance while creating an inspiring learning environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning. The Animator serves as both an entertainer and educator, helping children develop confidence, practical skills, and creative expression through guided activities.ROLE PROFILEFacilitate engaging woodwork, arts & crafts, and creative workshops for children across various age groups.Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment that promotes creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and self-expression.Support the daily operation of the PlayShop and ensure activities are delivered according to established schedules, lesson plans, and brand standards.Ensure safe usage of tools, materials, and equipment while maintaining all workshop safety procedures.Welcome and engage children, parents, and guests while delivering exceptional customer service and guest experiences.Build positive relationships with families and maintain professional communication regarding children's participation and development.Support front desk responsibilities including guest inquiries, booking management, attendance tracking, and administrative tasks.Assist with workshop planning, reporting, record keeping, inventory tracking, and digital administration.Host and support special events, parent engagement activities, community programs, and PlayShop experiences.Monitor facilities, tools, materials, and equipment; report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.Maintain cleanliness, organization, hygiene, and safety standards across all PlayShop areas.Support inventory management, stock monitoring, material usage tracking, and discrepancy reporting.Follow child safeguarding, behavior management, health and safety, and incident reporting procedures at all times.Address guest concerns and complaints professionally while ensuring timely resolution and positive service recovery.Support achievement of guest satisfaction, attendance, retention, engagement, and NPS targets.Participate in regular training sessions, meetings, coaching activities, and continuous learning initiatives.Collaborate effectively with colleagues, Entertainment Managers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations.Promote company values and contribute to a positive, energetic, and collaborative team culture.Follow operational procedures, service standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements at all times.Perform additional duties and assignments as required to support business needs.REQUIREMENTS1-2 years of experience working with children in education, entertainment, hospitality, childcare, arts & crafts, retail, or a guest-facing environment.Certificate, Diploma, or Certification in Hospitality, Education, Child Development, Arts & Crafts, Design, Performing Arts, or a related field is preferred.Passion for working with children and creating engaging educational or entertainment experiences.Knowledge of woodwork, arts & crafts, DIY activities, or other hands-on creative activities.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Confident, energetic, and comfortable leading groups and facilitating interactive activities.Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and guests.Strong understanding of workshop safety practices and the safe handling of tools and materials.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a positive and proactive attitude.Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and child safeguarding standards.Tech-friendly with the ability to support administrative and operational tasks.Physically able to conduct active sessions and work in a dynamic environment.Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and special events as required.Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.WHAT WE OFFERAt Majid Al Futtaim, we’re on a mission to create great moments, spread happiness, and build experiences that stay in our memories for a lifetime.
