The successful candidate will focus on transaction monitoring, customer due diligence (CDD), and enhanced due diligence (EDD) activities to ensure adherence to group-wide AML/CFT policies and international regulatory standards.This role is ideal for professionals with a strong understanding of AML processes and experience in a banking or financial services space, particularly in the jurisdictions of MAS (Singapore), HKCED (Hong Kong), Bank Indonesia (Indonesia), or FINTRAC (Canada).Key Responsibilities:Transaction Monitoring and ReportingConduct real-time and post-transaction monitoring using automated tools to detect unusual or suspicious activities.Investigate and analyze flagged transactions to identify potential money laundering, terrorism financing, or other financial crimes.Prepare comprehensive reports on investigations, documenting findings and recommendations.Escalate suspicious transactions and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) in accordance with group policies and jurisdictional requirements.Track and analyze trends in suspicious activities,Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)Review and verify customer onboarding documents to ensure compliance with KYC standards.Conduct detailed due diligence checks, including verification of beneficial ownership, source of funds, and nature of business.Perform enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers, such as politically exposed persons (PEPs) or entities in high-risk industries or jurisdictions.Maintain accurate and organized CDD/EDD records, ensuring they are audit-ready and compliant with regulatory standards.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional customer information as required.Audit and Regulatory LiaisonAssist in responding to internal and external audit requests related to transaction monitoring and CDD/EDD activities.Support regulatory inspections by preparing and providing documentation andaddressing inquiries from MAS, HKCED, Bank Indonesia, FINTRAC, or otherauthorities.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience in AML compliance, focusing on transaction monitoring and CDD/EDD activities.Familiarity with AML/CFT frameworks and regulatory requirements of MAS, HKCED, Bank Indonesia, or FINTRAC is a strong advantage.Skills:In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, KYC processes, and financial crime typologies.Proficiency in using transaction monitoring and risk screening systems.Strong analytical and investigative skills to identify and mitigate potential risks effectively.
